ÒA little worm for my fellow birds of feather.Ó ÒThanking Simon,
for being there for Jesus.Ó
Matthew 2732 to 44. October 11, 2016. ÒLovers of Jesus, long to have been there, where Simon of Cyrene was to help
Jesus, but they forget that they are there now.Ó Jesus said; "For
what so ever you did for one of this little ones of mine, you did it for
me". Bring out the
China for those who cannot pay back.
Jesus
spent the night before praying in agony at Gethsemane in great sorrow and agony
sweating drops of blood to the point of death. His praying partners have
abandoned Jesus to deep sleep with heavy eyes. Shortly after
that he is manhandled as a common criminal caught red-handed of the crime of
witnessing to be the Son of God. Jesus is handcuffed and taken to a mock trial
from one place to another always still bound in his hands. He's forced to stand
up in the Sanhedrin, unable to even rub his hands to warm himself up, in the
cold dark lonely and miserable night. Meanwhile Peter
at the risk of his own security goes to the bonfire for warmth in togetherness
with pagans. The morning came and the enemies of Jesus like vultures have got
up as early birds to catch a worm to eat, but these birds are coming for the
Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.
Jesus
has been abused all night long in every way and he has been flogged cruelly in
the Roman style. While they hide their faces from him, their eyes have managed
to see between their fingers the cross over Jesus the innocence Son the
God. What's left of Jesus in his humanity is not enough to carry the
cross through the Via Dolorosa. Simon of Cyrene is forced to carry the cross FOR
Jesus, which is not OF Jesus. After all, the entire cross belongs to the
sinner, even though it is for Jesus to be crucified in it, on behalf of
them.
The cross
is my cross, it's your cross it is SimonÕs cross, it
is the sinnerÕs cross. Thank you Simon of serene for representing us even
though carrying the cross was like the mother goat providing milk to cook it
his own kid. But for the moment I want us to remember only the momentary relief
of Jesus as he goes uphill as the broken bread and poured out wine of God. If you happen to
be one who got up early this morning like Simon and are wondering if you are in
the right place at the right time to do the works of God? Look no farther or
wait to be forced to serve Jesus. For those for whom Jesus died, are all around
and about you, love them as you would love yourself and you'll do well to
Jesus, your neighbor for your own good. Love pays back! This has been a

little prayer partner. We have been praying together ALL our lives. Gaba is now five and just left after we pray the Lord's
