SPARED BY PRAYERS!

About Joshua K

Joshua came from Tacoma as a short-term summer missionary. But he is going back home as a long-term missionary with Jesus in his heart. He sweetly surrendered his life to the Lord at our dinner table and he covered eight chapters of the book of Mark the same night of his conversion.

Joshua took a ten-day break to tour the majestic Amazon River in the jungles of Peru and went to Cuzco on the Inca trail. He experienced some testing of his own as pre-conversion birth pains only to arrive here and be condemned to salvation and sentenced to eternal life which he received from God as a free gift purchased for him by Jesus on the cross.

Please pray for Joshua as he takes the gospel back to the United States as a missionary of Jesus.

Behold An Answer To Your Prayer.

Mrs. Bill Armstrong, the wife of the great Senator from Colorado, wrote me a kind note that referred to me as “one in a million”. It felt good to be special to someone.

But today I felt like one in a billon if I may say so. Having stopped on a busy street to exchange a word with a gentleman who came to the driver’s side of my pick-up truck, I was ready to continue on my way one minute later.

Along with another billon drivers in the world I looked through my windshield at the road ahead to make the usual survey and started to move ahead as the road seem to be clear.

I had hardly moved half a foot when I saw out of the corner of my eye a young woman on the passenger side of the car. She jumped in front of my truck only to come out just as fast with a little boy one and a half years old in her arms -- which I had not seen in front of me at all. Once again our Lord protected me because of your prayers, only this time not from being killed -but from killing a child.

Yet I wonder how many times I must have been protected from many tragedies (unknown to me) by his ever loving and caring eyes watching over me.

Please rejoice with me for I could have brought great sorrow and pain to a young mother and her family as well as to my own family and the work.

He who watches over Israel does not sleep nor slumber. His eyes are over us and his ears attentive to our prayers.

That weekend after the sermon there were several professions of faith and some of them asked to be baptized.

Gerry “one in a billon” an Unknown Soldier ... but known to God.
